Wishart urges Perthshire residents to shop local this Winter

Pete Wishart, MP for Perth and North Perthshire, is urging his constituents to shop local this Winter. His comments come in the run-up to Small Business Saturday, a UK-wide initiative which encourages people to support small businesses by shopping locally.

Commenting Mr Wishart said:

“I look forward to visiting some of the fantastic small businesses in my constituency this weekend to mark Small Business Saturday.

“Small business truly are the bedrock of our economy, but the future of many of them is uncertain after what has been an extraordinarily challenging few years, with Brexit, Covid, and now the cost-of-living crisis.

“There has never been a more important time to shop local whenever you can, and I encourage readers to support small businesses in their area this weekend and beyond.”
