Wishart praises emergency service response to Fairfield fire

Perth and North Perthshire MP, Pete Wishart, has praised the emergency services following a late-night fire in Perth, in which 14 people were rescued from their homes. The alarm was raised at around 2:40am on the morning of 31st May, at a tenement block in Perth’s Menzies Court.

Mr Wishart said:

“I want to express my gratitude to the emergency services who assisted with rescuing and looking after the 14 residents at Menzies Court following the fire overnight. I understand that a full investigation into the fire will now take place and the damage assessed.

“If anyone who has been involved in this incident requires any assistance in the days that follow they should contact their insurance company, but they are also more than welcome to contact my office.”
