NOMINATIONS SOUGHT FOR TIFFIN CUP – CELEBRATING SOUTH ASIAN CUISINE
Pete Wishart MP, Member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire, has invited constituents to come forward with suggestions of local restaurants to be nominated for a competition to find the best South Asian restaurant in the UK.
“The Tiffin Cup – an annual competition, now in its tenth year – celebrates the best of South Asian cuisine and the organisers have invited Members of Parliament to nominate the most popular South Asian restaurant in their constituencies.
“There are many great restaurants of all kinds throughout Perth & North Perthshire and I would welcome suggestion from constituents before I make my decision on which local eatery to nominate.
“I need to make my nomination by the 16th of April and the ten restaurants which make the shortlist will be invited to a special cook-off in London to find the overall winner.
“The competition is not just a fun way of celebrating the place South Asian cooking has in our society, there is a serious side to it too with money being raised for World Vision and Water Aid who do a fantastic job bringing clean, safe water to communities in need.”
