Pete Wishart MP, Member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire has written to senior figures in the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) expressing his dismay at the decision not to allocate extra tickets for St Johnstone fans hoping to attend the League Cup semis final at Tynecastle on Saturday.
Mr Wishart said:
“I have been contacted by a number of constituents outraged at the way in which they have been treated by the SPFL.
“The decision not to allocate additional tickets to St Johnstone fans was not only the wrong decision, it was also taken too late, causing real confusion and disruption to people’s plans.
“Saints fans deserve to be treated better than this and they needed clearer information and explanations for the decisions taken.”
