WORLD’S BEST DARK CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE COMES FROM PERTHSHIRE - OFFICIAL
Perth and North Perthshire MP, Pete Wishart, has welcomed news of significant successes for Iain Burnett, the Highland Chocolatier at the International Chocolate Awards in London.
Praising the Grandtully chocolate makers for securing a Gold Award for unflavoured Dark Chocolate Truffle along with two Silver Awards for flavoured truffles, Mr Pete Wishart MP, Member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire, said:
“I am delighted for everyone associated with the Gandtully-based chocolate makers for their tremendous success at the International Chocolate Awards in London.
“Ian Burnett has, rightly, sampled the sweet taste of success for all sorts of aspects of his business but this award really is a class apart. The International Chocolate Awards see tens of thousands of chocolates from over 40 countries sampled by extremely knowledgeable judges and to come out on top in any of the categories is a tremendous accolade indeed.
“Now there is global recognition for what those of us in Perthshire have known for a while, Burnett’s chocolates are the best in the world.”
