WISHART ALARMED OVER FLOODING IN PERTHSHIRE

Perth and North Perthshire MP Pete Wishart is deeply alarmed over reports of serious flooding in Alyth and other areas in his Perthshire constituency.
Mr Wishart said:
“I am deeply alarmed to hear of the serious flooding in Alyth and all across Perthshire. I have spoken with Perth and Kinross Council and I am assured that they are acting as quickly as possible to help those affected by the recent flooding.”
“I am told that the Town Hall in Alyth has already been opened to give those caught up in the flooding somewhere for refuge. I will continue to be in contact with Perth and Kinross Council and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service throughout the day to monitor the situation and offer any help I can.”
