AVIVA’S COMMITMENT TO PERTH AS ‘CORE LOCATION’ WELCOMED BY WISHART
The Scottish National Party’s Mr Pete Wishart MP, Member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire, has welcomed the announcement today (Monday) from Aviva confirming Perth as one of the insurance giant’s core locations in the UK alongside Bristol, Norwich, Sheffield and York.
Mr Wishart said:
“The designation of Perth as a core location by Aviva will hopefully provide reassurance for Perth-based staff as to the companies long term commitment to the city.
“The Friends Life acquisition introduced an understandable degree of uncertainty as these business changes often do.
“I now hope that, while nothing in business can be considered permanent or unchangeable, today’s announcement is a genuine commitment from Aviva to a seriously long term future for their continued involvement in Perth.”
