The Scottish National Party’s Mr Pete Wishart MP, Member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire, is seeking suggestions from constituents for individuals who might be worthy of nomination for the ERSA Employability Award.
Mr Wishart said:
“The Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) is the representative body for the employment support sector, and they run an annual awards scheme to celebrate the hard work and dedication of the employment support sector, are aimed at everyone involved in the journey to work - including jobseekers, employment advisors and employers.
“MPs have been asked to nominate local individuals or companies for the ERSA Employability Awards so I am putting out this call to my constituents – do you know of someone who might be eligible? If so, let me know and I will submit their name.
“It could be someone who has overcome difficult personal circumstances to successfully find work, a great local employer that consistently helps jobseekers to get on the career ladder or a careers or employment advisor that time and time again goes above and beyond to support people into work?
“These awards are a good opportunity to recognise both individual achievement and good business practices and I will be happy to forward any eligible nominations that are suggested to me.”
