WISHART EXPRESSES CONCERN AS ISIS HOSTAGE IDENTIFIED AS MAN BROUGHT UP IN PERTH
Following the identification of the British man being held hostage by ISIS as David Haines, the Scottish National Party’s Mr Pete Wishart MP, Member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire has said:
“It has now been publicly confirmed that the British man being held hostage by ISIS is David Haines, who grew up in Perth and still has family in my constituency.
“I am certain that everyone in Perthshire shares the shock I feel at this news and will join with me in expressing our concern for him and for his loved ones, for whom this must be a very difficult time indeed.
“I have been keeping in frequent contact with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and will be informed of any developments as efforts are made to resolve this dreadful situation.”
