WISHART WELCOMES PERTH STUDENTS TO HOUSE OF COMMONS
The Scottish National Party’s Mr Pete Wishart MP, Member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire, was pleased to be able to welcome a group of students from the UHI at Perth College to the House of Commons.
The students, who are participating in the Year in Industry programme and have been studying a management qualification at Perth College UHI, delivered in partnership with the Engineering Development Trust, made a trip to the House of Commons while on a visit to the London headquarters of Shell.
Mr Wishart said:
“These are very high achieving students who will work on some very interesting projects indeed whilst on their placements and I was delighted to be able to welcome them to the House of Commons while they were in London.
“This course produces business leaders of the future and as they prepare to embark on their careers I am sure that they will remember the sound grounding they have received at Perth College and will take the message far and wide that Perth is a fantastic place to learn, live and work.”
