The Scottish National Party’s Mr Pete Wishart MP, Member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire, has welcomed confirmation that, thanks to the economies of scale in VisitScotland’s latest seasonal push, Perth & Kinross Council is enjoying much greater marketing exposure than their marketing budget could have bought on its own.
Mr Wishart said:
“I understand that this year’s Explore Scotland autumn/winter campaign, which combines the budget of Perth & Kinross Council with local authorities across the country, has allowed for a greater marketing reach and improved return on investment.
“This season’s campaign for Perthshire used a mix of activity including direct mail, press, radio and digital advertising to create high awareness of the region to encourage visits to the area.
“Perthshire has a fantastic package of attractions on offer for visitors across a wide range of sectoral interests. From our fabulous natural landscapes –bedecked just now in gorgeous autumn colours – to adventure sports, the finest food and spectacular events, there really is something for everyone.
“So it is great to see that the ‘shop window’ in which we display our wares has been so successfully broadened with advertising campaigns reaching a much bigger audience than previously.”
