WISHART PRAISES HOSPITAL RADIO PERTH
The Scottish National Party’s Mr Pete Wishart MP, Member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire has praised the work of Hospital Radio Perth following a recent visit to their studio at Perth Royal Infirmary.
Speaking today (Monday), Mr Wishart said:
“Hospital Radio Perth does a brilliant job bringing a bit of cheer to patients and keeping folk in touch with their loved ones through their request programmes.
“To have built up from two hours a week to 24 hours a day, every day since they first went on the air over twenty years ago is a significant achievement and a testimony to everybody who has been involved down the years.
“It is important to remember that Hospital Radio Perth is staffed entirely by volunteers who do an absolutely fantastic job. Every year they need to raise thousands of pounds to help pay for the service the station provides so remember the good work they do if you see someone raising money for them.”
