WISHART WELCOMES VECTOR JOBS AS “GREAT NEWS FOR WHOLE PERTHSHIRE ECONOMY”
The Scottish National Party’s Mr Pete Wishart MP, Member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire, has described the news of new jobs at Vector Aerospace as “great news for the whole Perthshire economy”.
Speaking today (Tuesday) Mr Wishart said:
“The highly skilled engineering jobs at Vector Aerospace are an extremely important part of the jobs mix in the local area and this announcement is great news for the whole Perthshire economy.
“Many of those who work at Almondbank are constituents of mine and I am sure that others will benefit from these new jobs.
“In a week when we have seen Westminster politicians from the unionist parties pitting shipyard against shipyard and turning people’s jobs into a political footballs, it is heartening to see the Scottish Government getting on with the job with an investment that will help to secure important defence-related jobs for Perthshire.”
