POST OFFICE WINS DVLA CONTRACT
WISHART HAILS VICTORY FOR “PEOPLE POWER”
The Scottish National Party’s Mr Pete Wishart MP, member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire, has welcomed the announcement that the DVLA have awarded the contract to provide DVLA services to Post Office Limited.
Commenting on the news Mr Wishart said:
“This is excellent news and a triumph for common sense which is almost entirely down to the excellent campaign run by the National Federation of Subpostmasters, backed in huge numbers by the people who matter most in all of this – Post Office customers.
“From my own constituency alone, there were over 1000 postcards supporting local Post Offices, a truly phenomenal level of engagement and an example of people power in action.
"Well done and thank you to everybody who took the time to stand up for their local Post Office."
