Pete Joins Street Pastors on Patrol
The Scottish National Party's Mr Pete Wishart MP, Member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire, went on patrol with the Perth Street Pastors at the weekend. Speaking today (Monday) Mr Wishart said:
"The Perth Street Pastors do a brilliant job and like all volunteers they are owed a great deal of thanks from the community they serve.
"Simply by their presence and the way they interact with those wending their way home art the end of a busy night, the Street Pastors help to increase safety and defuse potential trouble.
"It was really interesting to join them 'on the beat' this Easter weekend and see at first hand the fantastic job they do.
"The great rapport they have built up on the streets of Perth was underlined by their decision to mark the Bank holiday by handing out eggs to revellers."
